LovePatience (Lady Gaga x KSI, YUNGBLUD & Polo G)

“It’s absolutely all over the place but DAMN IT’S PEAK” – My cousin Ari

That quote is exactly how I intended this mashup to be. Insane, dramatic, and living up to both album titles: MAYHEM and All Over The Place. I have loved KSI’s hit “Patience (feat. YUNGBLUD & Polo G)” since its release as a single in March 2021. By this year, I hadn’t listened to it as often as I used to (sorry KSI, I didn’t really care for the album).

This year, I took it upon myself to start listening to more artists that I’d never listened to. Among them is Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga. We can thank ONICKS for this one – she’s their favorite artist. When Gaga released her latest album MAYHEM in March of this year, ONICKS hosted a Discord event in which we listened to a few songs from the album. From what I heard, it sounded great. It was on a train ride to New York that Sunday that I finally listened to the album in full. And OH. EM. GAGA. I have been severely missing out on the queen. I instantly loved this album, and it is currently one of my two favorites of 2025 (take a wild guess what the other one is. Hint: most Swifties hate it).

Track 8 on MAYHEM is “LoveDrug.” It wasn’t one of my favorites off the bat, but something about it felt familiar. It sounded like something I knew, but I couldn’t quite place what it was. Then one day, “Patience” returned to my rotation of songs.

I was busy over the summer, so I didn’t decide to make the mashup until September. One of my setbacks was that I wasn’t familiar enough with “LoveDrug.” But I relistened to MAYHEM when Gaga added three songs to the mix. And that’s when I knew I should make this mashup. For this one, I used the “LoveDrug” instrumental and increased the BPM to that of “Patience.” I wanted to make sure all three artists on the latter song got their moment (23 seconds of Polo G cost KSI a fortune apparently).

If you notice, I include the bridge of “Patience” twice in this mashup. This happened for two reasons. Number one, I accidently used the clean edit of “Patience” and realized it too late (KSI says “shit” in his verse). So naturally, I replaced the verse with the bridge, still letting the main artist have his moment. Reason number two: the bridge is the best part of “Patience” anyway. All in all, it was a happy accident.

I thought Halloween would be a perfect day to release this mashup (it’s Gaga, of course it would be). The last mashup I uploaded on Halloween was another one of my favorites, “you should see me run.” I hope you all enjoy this one as well, and have a happy Halloween!
