Basic Information
Fun misconception: Allan is not my last name, it’s my middle name. Here are some more fun facts about me:
- I am 20 years old
- My favorite color is blue (pretty much any shade)
- I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Autism in 2016.
- I have perfect pitch (yet I can barely read sheet music).
- I am an undergraduate English Major at Kean University in Union, New Jersey.
- I went to high school for theatre (Academy for Performing Arts in Scotch Plains).
- Making mashups isn’t my main hobby, it’s more of a side thing. My main hobbies include writing (LOTS of it), playing piano, songwriting, taking walks while listening to music and spending time with friends (when I am not academically swamped).
Music Taste / Appreciation
I have literally been listening to music all my life. As a toddler and a kid, it was mostly things my parents played for me, but as I got older I discovered my love for indie and mainstream pop. Perhaps one of the first times I ever took my own autonomy in regards to my music taste was in 2017, when I listened to a brand new album by myself for the first time. That album was Taylor Swift’s reputation. I could ramble about my journey as a Swiftie, but let’s just say rep was where it all started for me. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m probably one of the loudest and proudest Swifties they have ever met. However, contrary to popular belief, I actually listen to other artists aside from Swift (OMG shocker!!!) Some of those artists include:

- They Might Be Giants
As far as genres go, I am mainly pop (as you can tell), but I also enjoy Rock, indie/alternative, etc. Essentially, anything I like goes, it doesn’t matter the genre. Good music is good music!
